Backtrail Privacy Policy

Backtrail (“the App”) is operated by MossyMoosey. This policy describes how we handle data when merchants install and use the App on their Shopify stores.

Data we store

• Shop domain and offline access token (required for Shopify apps)
• Merchant-configured settings (redirect destination, discount code, messages)
• Anonymous 404 rescue events (path + timestamp) for analytics

Data we do not store

Backtrail does not collect customer names, emails, addresses, payment details, or order contents.

Sharing

We do not sell merchant or customer data. Data is used only to operate the App and may be processed by our hosting provider.

Retention

When the App is uninstalled, we delete shop sessions and settings. Shopify may also send a shop/redact webhook, after which remaining shop data is purged.
